Well. What can I say? Here I am, with a finger that is almost dark brown, and a heavily bandaged foot.

chalet was a blast, so here's an almost blow-by-blow account of my experience.

So, my uncle sent me to 95 Frankel Avenue, where the BBQ Wholesale center was located. I picked up the food, paid up, and waited for Abtzy and Eugene to arrive to help with the management of items. However, at exactly 2pm, one wave of water droplets fell from the sky. 5 seconds later, a heavier wave of droplets fell. 10 seconds after that, it suddenly started pouring. And by pouring, I mean it by one of those heavy rains in which it's sometimes impossible to see 25 meters in front of you. Oh well, so Abtzy, having the coruage of the Portugese, walked into the place soaked, and happily saying that he had left Eugene behind carrying his Gamecube under the shelter of an umbrella. so Abtzy went back out into the rain to search for Eugene as I waited with increasing impatience for the return of my uncle to send us over to the place.

After a long wait, at about 2.20, my uncle finally arrived and we stowed away the booty into the boot, and dumped the rest of the stuff with us into the back of the car, and made a hasty fit into it before driving off to Changi. We arrived, and we finally checked in, thus I got the keys and me, Abtzy, Eugene and Bryan broke into the chalet. We stuffed most of the things into the fridge, started boiling water, washed plates and cutlery, and in thus doing waited for the rest of our classmates to arrive.

And arrive they did. Within minutes of their arrival, the place was a whole lot more livelier, and noisier. we got down immediately to the three things that interested us most while in the chalet itself - mahjong, cards and the gamecube (which sadly only had one game - pokemon colosseum). So as we fiddled with all of these things, the food was left untouched in the fridge (an oversight on my part resulting in much of the ood not having defrosted). At about 4.30, Arun and I walked down to Changi Village (about 500 m away) to grab a bite, for I, knowing that I'd be busy for most of the night, wouldn't actually have gotten to eat much. Thus I ate a bowl of my favourite chicken cutlet noodles, before returning to the chalet to start the fire.

I'd have to say that it was a pretty fun thing, the barbeque, if not for the fact that while people were roasting food and getting carcinogens (yes, david, BIG WORD!!!) all over their chicken wings/satay/otah/fishballs, Alex and I were stuck in the kitchen skewering more of those chickenwings, sausages, and fishballs for the rest to roast with ease. I remember clearly heading out to grab two sticks of fishballs and two sausages for Alex and myself, and I believe that the cut on my finger was thus infected after immersing it in so long with the blood of the chicken and whatever marinate there was.

Soon later, I came out and started cooking, and I cooked possible like 20 chicken wings out of the 60 we took out xD not to mention much of the satay as well x) Cooking is such a fun thing, but even more ufn is to tend a charcoal fire and start blowing the ash when there are no more flames, then heaping charcoal back onto the fire so that it would last longer. This precedded our marshmallow roasting session! Eugene holds the record for 9 at a go, I believe. Haha!!! Mrs Ang came halfway through the marshmallow roasting, with her husband and son, as well as two bottle of sparkling grape juice that were supposed to "add a sparkle to our lives". At least we finished one bottle of it that night, whereas for the other... the story is rather tragic.

And after that we went back in, and continued playing mahjong/cards/gamecube and with the arrival of the Luae halfway through the BBQ, it meant that it was time for mahjong - with a catch - real-money-involved. Anyway, the Luae went home $3 richer that night, for he had to go to school the next morning and all that.

So by the time we decided that we had enough of cards/mahjong/gamecube, at about 11.30pm, we left the chalet (most of us) to go to the basketball courts near changi village for MIDNIGHT BBALL. Like woot. BBall in very little light = like 0 accuracy? But it was ok, i had 3/8 field goals x).

By the time we went back to the chalet it was almost 2 am already... and we started bathing, and some of us decided that it was time to go to sleep. I, however, decided to continue playing mahjong, and in between bouts of mahjong I walked up the the RIMB people's room and watched them playing cards. Eventually at around 4.30 we were all feeling hungry and thus i decided to fry up 10 of the remaining chickenwings. They tasted great, but served little but to fuel our appetite further. This resulted in me, being a smart guy and taking the leftover satay sauce and the beehoon and frying it together in the hopes of creating my own style of satay beehoon. It actually tastes quite good xD. The minor, or rather, MAJOR drawback was that there was a half dead bee on the floor and I accidentally stepped on it in the process of frying the food. This resulted in it stinging the sole of my foot. May I bring to your attention that I am ALLERGIC to BEE POISON.

So after attempting to dig out the sting that wasn't there, I eventually fell asleep on the couch watching Bryan playing pokemon colesseum. By the time we woke up, it was 8.30 am, and most of them went to grab breakfast at the really famous changi village nasi lemak stall. I stayed back in the chalet to laze around and enjoy the rest of the morning, not before realising that after leaving the second bottle of the sparkling grape juice in the freezer, the entire thing froze and the glass bottle shattered. Excellent.

So we cleared up the chalet, and kudos to Royce for washing up all the dishes voluntarily x). We thus checked out of the chalet, and having returned the keys, we packed up and left the chalet, not to mention leaving behind tons of grease, food, ant trails, and various insects around.

We then proceeded to Dhoby Ghaut to LAN, where we had CS, DotA and a screwed up game of Enfos. xD Ahh, the stuff we do as a class.
