L'audeamus. Let Us Dare. Yes, that was the theme of the orientation. And really, we have dared. We have dared to do the dance, sing the batch song, gone around as ogs, donned headgear reminiscent of crabs' eyes, and done all the other funny stuff together. I really would love to thank my OG here, for being with me throughout the course of this orientation, and in the same way making a great impression on me. I mean, like I was told the "horror" stories of how the introduction of girls completely warps the average RI boy's life, how everything that we once depended on was now transformed into a dust, to be carried away with the winds. And it was such with this sense of foreboding that I entered RJ... Like hey, a part of me doesn't want to grow up ok? ._."
So as it was, I've begun to grow more comfortable with JC life, and no matter how hectic it will be, I'm going to manage it. I'll do it. I know I can. =)(This Royce Yap self-confidence thing really works xP) Well, at least it wasn't as bad as the stories I heard, so whatever mental preparations I had were enough, and now it's time to start the class bonding thing, and get together closer so that the next two years together for us isn't gone down the drain, and of course with this I'm hoping that 08A01E is a relatively interesting class, as I suspect it is...
All the best, members of L'oompas! And 08A01E, looking forward to working with you all =)
Love, Mervyn.
